ENCOURAGE.

Rebecca Conklin, LMSW, Therapist at Balanced Life Counseling and Wellness.

Being a parent or caregiver is not always easy, especially when supporting children who may have big emotions, challenging behaviors or who have experienced traumatic life events. Using a play based approach, I help children ages 10 and under learn how to manage emotions, cope with challenges and recover from trauma. I work closely with clients and their parents/caregiver to provide support, education, and encouragement to live a stable and happy life.

I value having connection with others and I enjoy spending time with family and friends and am a licensed foster parent. I also love to travel as a way of experiencing new places and meeting new people.

I offer in-person sessions at our office on the NE side of Grand Rapids. In our work together, you’ll find an encouraging and compassionate space where your child can process experiences, heal trauma, and move toward a life that feels balanced, confident, and full.
